My birthday fall on the second weekend of the month and it was a day after i arrived back from HongKong. Since we had the complimentary stay at any hotel of our choice under the Starwood Programme, we decided to book into Le Meridien on the day of birthday. This arrangement was made way before my decision to go for the trip to Hong Kong. Thus, i was very anxious then as i dont want the trip to disrupt with my arrangement. Luckily, it did not happen that way

The Hotel Lobby
We checked into the hotel at about noon and the room allocated to us was at the Starwood Privileges Guest Floor. I noticed that those hotel under the Starwood Programme have a special floor for its members. The room in HongKong that was allocated to us was much larger than the normal room.
Here are the pictures of the room:

The Balcon sisters are London’s paparazzi darlings. Serena, the country’s most beautiful actress, Venetia the glamorous designer, Camilla the rising political star and Cate the feisty magazine editor. They have wealth, privilege and sizzling sex lives.

From the sun drenched beaches of Mustique to Manhattan’s elite society circuit. From the exclusive fashion houses of Milan to the star-studded streets of Cannes, the Balcon Sisters play out their lives in a whirl of glitz and the ultra chic. But as tragedy and danger stalks each one of them, the scene is set for a stunning climax
Daddy’s girls by Tasmina Perry tells the story of four sisters; Camilla, Serena, Venetia and Cate who have a domineering father who tried his best to control them, This is a story of how four of them struggled to meet their father’s expectation as well as their own imperfection. The story was told via flashback in which all of them are the suspect for killing their own father since each of them have their own reason to take their father’s life.

We went to Essence Restaurant for dinner just before my trip to Hong Kong early this month. This is my second time dining there after my hi tea with mum. Since we bought the Starwood Privilege’s membership, we managed to tried out most of their restaurant under their programme. Thus far, Le Meridien’s Lastest Recipe is the best

Our wine
Anyhow, Essence Restaurant is currently having promotion of free flow of wine for its dinner buffet. Upon hearing that, the first thought came to my mind that this gonna be the average wines. Anyhow, the dinner per pax is RM99++. However, when we reached there, we found out that they actually served quality wines. Dear had about 3 glasses of Chardonny wine

The setting
Unlike Le Meridien’s buffet dinner which featured international course, i find that Essence’s dinner are more directed to local course. Except for its wide spread of desserts, the dinner has less choices of main course as compared to Latest Recipe.
Here is some of the pictures that i took:

Arrays of sushi and prawns/oysters

Appetisers section

Main course section

Noodle section

Ulam & Dim Sum section

Assorted Dessert

Fruits & Chocolate Fondue

My auntie, KS, called me last monday with regards to my aunty, KM. For those who is unaware, this month is the seventh month of the Chinese Calendar; the month where the Chinese community is celebrating the Hungry Ghost Festivals. What i m gonna tell is not meant to scare you off but rather it was a true story (at least i do believe it). My aunty, KM’s friend told her that there is someone (an old lady) is following her. This friend of her have what we called a “haunted” eyes, that allowed her to see those departed ones.Granny was that person. According to the “medium”, the communitor between both worlds, Granny have some requests. That is why she followed my aunty around..
Maybe i m still unwilling to let Granny go but i really believe she is still around me always. Granny wanted to eat “siew yok” and have her favourite drinks, Coke. She requested for my aunty to burnt her some floral shirts
I recalled she only wear floral shirts and hearing that she wanted them makes me smile. I guess Granny is pretty satisfied now as all her wishes has been fulfilled last week.

Hawker Foods

The first thing we did after we checked in into the hotel is to search for their local curry fish balls. Theirs version of fish balls are the best and you wont find it anywhere here. We really enjoyed them very much.
Fast foods

Burger King’s Double Bacon Burger

KFC’s Hot Wingz and Wet Tissue

McD’s McWingz
As what i wrote before, their fast food restaurants are non halal and we have tried their own version of BK Double Bacon Burger of Burger King, Hot Wingz of KFC and McWing by McDonalds.
Breakfast

We ordered the American Breakfast (2sets) when we had to stayed in due to the typhoon attack on our second day. This set cost us HK $215 per set which comes with fruit juice, a pot of coffee, french toast/waffles, scrambled egg with crispy bacon and 3 choices of bakeries.
Desserts

Malt Porridge, Red Beans and Black Sesame Glutinous Ball
Hong Kong desserts are well known and for this trip, we found a dessert restaurant along Nathan Road, Kowloon
Others

Starbuck Bottled Drinks

Shandy’s Lychee and Lemon Flavored Drink
Starbuck branches is everywhere in Hong Kong even their bottled drinks. This bottled drinks is sell in 7Eleven and cost about HK$16.90. Since Dear is a fan of Starbuck, i bought 3 bottled back together with some special shandy’s flavored drinks
Local Fast Food

We had lunch @ Popeye Fast Food chain while waiting for time to check in on our departure day. Their menu are mostly on chickens and is similar to KFC and McD.

The View from The Peak
After our trip to Ocean Park, we embarked on our next destination; The Peak where Madame Tussauds is located. We took another bus up the hill (the highest level thus it was called The Peak) from the Admiralty MTR Station. This bus No15 took us all the way up to the Peak and the journey took about 30 minutes. On our journey up the hill, we saw many grand houses and some of the houses look very familiar to me;
I wont be surprises that the houses appears in the TVB drama. However, the journey up the peak is rather scary as the road is very narrow.

The Ticket
The wax museum is located in the Peak Tower and we spent more than an hour there.. when we saw all the wax model, we just went crazy with our camera, taking as many pictures as we can

The Entrance
I met my idol; Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok in Hongkong, and i saw other celebrities such as the Twins, Leo Ku, Kelly Chan and i even took pictures with Jackie Chan.
Dont believe me? Here are some of the pictures that i took;

Kelly Chan, Joey Yung & Miriam Yong

The Beatles

Leon Lai, Andy Lau, Leslie Cheung

David Beckham, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana
We took the tram down rather than the bus as we wanted to experience in drill of going down the hill via the tram. We paid HK$22 per pax for the ride down. We discover that the ride is much shorter than our ride up by bus. However be prepared though as the tram station are packed full with people as tram seem to be the popular mode of transportation up to the Peak.

I visited DisneyLand two years ago and this time around i decided to visit HK Ocean Park instead. For those who intend to go, it is very convenient to take the Bus No 629 just outside the Admiralty MTR Station. I was worried as the direction might be a little too complicated for me initially but with the signboard at the MTR station, we managed to find our way to the bus stand.

The entrance ticket
The journey to Ocean Park took about 20 minutes rides and the bus dropped us at the Highland entrance. Ocean Park is divided to two; Lowland and Highland. As what we did in Disneyland, we went to the highest/inner part of the Highland area to avoid the crowd.

Me @ the Entrance
The first impression that we had of the place was that the place is pretty smelly and dirty. This might be caused by the heavy storm the day before. Thus, we didnt waste our time much on exploring the place. Rather we are interested in the game that its offered.
The Highland area are connected via its elevator; we need to climb up the hill and as we go higher, we find that the scenery surrounding the park are just so breathtaking

The View
Here are some of the pictures that we took while we were at the park;

The scary elevator; The Game booths

The flying Swing; Crazy Galleon

The Dragon that makes me giddy and nauseous
